The show opened with Russ (Nat Faxon) and Lina (Judy Greer) at the doctor’s office. He was telling them what to expect during a vasectomy procedure, and Russ felt uncomfortable hearing it. The doctor asked why they decided to go with this, and Russ said it was actually his wife’s decision.

Russ: “While you’re down there, you can take the whole thing off.  I don’t need it.”

Lina: (nodding) “I’m comfortable with that.”

Russ was playing billiards with his friends AJ (Brett Gelman) and Jess (Jenny Slate) and told them that Lina was taking him to a romantic getaway because she probably was feeling sorry about the upcoming vasectomy procedure. He was quite excited about the possibility of having hotel sex with his wife, especially when they haven’t had real sex since the children came.  Russ also told Jess that she and her husband, Shep (Paul Reiser), will have to take their kids for the weekend.

Jess told them that Shep, who is many years older than her, might be annoyed at her. She even confessed to him that she had been sexting with the neighbor, and he had no reaction at all.

Russ and Lina dropped off the kids at Jess’ house the next day, and then the neighbor’s wife, Charlene, drove up to their house, asking if Jess had been in touch with her husband. Shep apologized for the way Jess behaved and assured Charlene that their sexting days are done. But she said that the reason why she was asking was because her husband took off, and he wasn’t answering any of her calls and messages. Could Jess and Shep help her?

Russ and Lina arrived at the villa for their weekend of sex. But the two struggled to get intimate. It seemed like they lost their rhythm and groove as a couple after becoming parents. The couple next door to them, Tyler and Kim, were the complete opposite. Younger and new to marriage, everyone could probably hear the moans coming from their room. This frustrated Russ and Lina more, so they thought they would take a dip in the pool instead. Later, Tyler and Kim joined them at the pool too, and the couples became quick friends.

Jess and Shep were still with Charlene, helping her get in touch with her husband by having Jess sex text him. Jess was quite uncomfortable doing this in front them, but Shep did not care for it. In fact, he helped her come up with the messages to send to Charlene’s husband, who did reply back. He also agreed to the meeting that, unknown to him, was set by his wife. He thought it was purely Jess he was flirting on the phone with.

At the meeting place, the husband was quite late, and Charlene was in tears, convinced that the husband ditched their date. She was also getting so drunk. Jess said that this was a good thing because it meant he wasn’t really coming to see her. Shep privately talked to the wife, perhaps giving her words of comfort and advising her to call it a day and go home. Jess saw the husband coming but quickly waved him off and pointed that his wife was there, ready to confront him. The husband hurriedly left, so Charlene did not see him. She said her goodbyes and went home.

Jess and Shep were now alone at their table. Shep said that he doesn’t think their neighbors are going to make it, and Jess agreed. Jess asked Shep if he was still mad at her, and Shep said that he wasn’t because, “I knew who I was marrying. You really love trouble,” and then he kissed his wife.

Back at the villa, Russ and Tyler were bonding over their fondness for cars, and Tyler asked if he would like to come with him and check out a car he was interested in, which was very near where they were staying. Russ convinced Tyler that he should get the car, a classic 1969, and so Tyler blew all of his savings, which he was supposed to use to set up a restaurant with Kim, to get the car.

When Kim saw this, she got really mad at Tyler, and then at Russ, after learning that he convinced Tyler to get the car. Russ said that he was only telling Tyler to live in the moment because once the kids and other responsibilities come, they wouldn’t be able to enjoy life. Lina got mad at Kim for getting mad at her husband. The couples were now shouting at each other before Kim left in a huff, with Tyler chasing after her.

Russ: “Do you remember when we were that dumb?”

Lina: “Oh, honey…you’re still that dumb.”

Lina fondly kissed her husband after saying that. That night, Russ and Lina had the best sex…since having three kids.

The episode closed with Russ going through the vasectomy with Lina taking him home after the procedure, with her hand in his arms.
