“Married” Season 1 Episode 10 “Family Day” will air on Thursday, Sept. 18, 2014, at 10:00 p.m. on FX. It will be the season finale of this relationship comedy. But before we get to the details of the final episode, let’s revisit what happened last week.
In “Halloween” (air date: Sept. 11, 2014), Russ (Nat Faxon) and Lina (Judy Greer) each had to attend to personal matters on the day their kids were supposed to go trick-or-treating. So when one of their daughters couldn’t decide on what to wear right away, the couple had to make arrangements on who should be buying Ella’s pirate costume. This was a big deal because Ella was going to be a teenager next Halloween, and she may not want to do the tradition with them then. They had to make this year’s Halloween memorable.
Lina had to be in the other side of town for a meet up with an old girlfriend. She needed this bonding time with her, as she has been wanting to unload about the stress of being married and having kids. But when she got there, her friend, Eva, was too busy to pay attention to her. She decided to leave the hotel and go back to tending to the kids, but Eva apologized and convinced her to change her mind about staying. In the end, as Lina was able to share her frustrations to her friend, she still went home later in the day to be with her family for Halloween.
Russ, on the other hand, had to be with Jess (Jenny Slate) so they could bring AJ (Brett Gelman) to the rehab. It wasn’t easy to do, as AJ tried all he can so that he won’t be sent away. Russ took this chance to go on a detour to buy Ella’s pirate costume. Eventually, though, they succeeded in convincing AJ to turn himself in and get cured for his drug addiction.
The episode ended with Russ and Lina going trick-or-treating with two of their kids, and surprisingly, Ella went with her friends.
