Marry Me” Season 1 Episode 7 “Win Me” aired on Tuesday, Dec. 2, 2014, at 9:00 p.m. on NBC. Cousin Scooby was in town and both Annie and her dad, Kevin 2, wanted him to come to their weddings. The only problem was, Scooby can only go to one. How did they solve this problem? Find out in the recap below.

Annie (Casey Wilson) and Jake (Ken Marino) were going to have dinner with her cousin Scooby (guest star Nat Faxon), otherwise known as the Ryan Gosling of cousins and the life of the party. He’s also Annie’s lone cousin, so she’s pretty psyched to see him again and meet her fiancé.

The dinner with Scooby also included Annie’s gay dads, Kevin 1 (Tim Meadows) and Kevin 2 (Dan Bucatinsky). While they were waiting for their special guest to arrive, they exchanged tales about Scooby’s antics, recalling how they called him “The Wedding Whisperer.” They also started talking about wedding preparations and realized that since both her gay dads and Annie were getting married, there would be some clashes with the planning and arrangements. Kevin 2 and Annie even pinned the same birdcage idea online.

Kevin 2: I feel so silly! You know what, you take the bouquet and the birdcages. Listen, I’m not getting into a bride war with my own daughter.

Finally, Cousin Scooby arrived. He was actually in the restaurant this whole time, pretending to be one of the waiters. He met Jake and complimented him. They instantly bonded. He told them the bad news, though — because of his work in the cruise ship, he can only come to one of the weddings.

Kevin 2: It’s a good thing we talked about the bride war thing because I do not want to fight over who gets Scooby for our wedding.
Annie: So, Scoob…why don’t you just take your time and decide whose wedding you’d be at and we’ll just roll with it?

When her dads left the restaurant, Annie invited Scooby to stay over at her apartment, but Jake called her out by doing that.

Jake: Just so you know, there’s evidence mounting that you’re not great at “rolling with it.”

The next day, Annie discovered that Scooby left her apartment early to go shopping with her dads. They were buying, actually bribing, him a suit for their wedding, which upset Annie because Scooby's presence was important. He wasn’t able to come to one of their aunt’s wedding and that ended badly.

Annie: Your wedding sets the tone for your whole marriage and Scooby sets the tone for your wedding!

Meanwhile, just like Jake, Kevin 1 was telling off his husband about being in a bride war with their daughter. He didn’t want to be part of this. Annie and Jake arrived at the store, just as Scooby was picking out the perfect suit he’s getting from the Kevins.

Right there, Annie offered to pay for Scooby’s air fare if he comes to her wedding. Kevin 2 did the same and even offered him to become their Best Man. To top that, Annie asked Scooby to officiate at her wedding. What?!  Even Jake was surprised by this development.

Jake and Kevin 1 knew that this was getting out of control. It was hard to watch. Jake had an idea, though. He told Annie and Kevin 2 that fighting over Scooby was over, so how about a double wedding? The brides were not thrilled, actually.

Later, when they were alone, Jake told Annie what his real intentions were.

Jake: Look, this is all part of my master plan to get Scooby in our wedding. There’s no way your dads would want a double wedding either, right? So, the first person who admits they don’t want a double wedding is also willing to lose Scooby.
Annie: Thank you for getting how important Scooby is to me.
Jake: Look, all you have to do is pretend you love the double wedding idea.

Kevin 2 also pretended that he loved the idea. But the two brides ended up suggesting even more absurd ideas for the “double celebration,” until Scooby offered to share a pineapple ice cream boat. But Annie couldn’t take it anymore with the sharing, so she caved. She lost.

But then, realizing how this had gone really sour, Kevin 2 talked to his daughter. They both apologized for how they behaved. Her father gave way and said Annie could get Scooby.

In another storyline, Gil’s (John Gimberling) place was getting fumigated, but since Annie and Jake were going to be with Scooby the whole weekend, they won’t be able to accommodate him. Dennah (Sarah Wright) was going to have a little date (literally, with a small guy) and Kay (Tymberlee Hill) has a work event.  Realizing this was the bane of being single, Gil started with the self-pity. Feeling sorry for him, Dennah offered to play basketball with him the next day.

Gil was waiting for Dennah and Kay as they promised him a game of basketball. But they were running late. Unknown to him, the girls were suckered into watching “Law & Order” episodes and totally forgot about their plans with Gil.

So Gil went to play with a bunch of six graders instead and he had a pretty good time with them. Later, Kay and Dennah went to the court to find that Gil was gone. But his bloody shirt was on the ground. Was he attacked? Did he get hurt? It was like straight out of a “Law & Order” episode!

They texted Gil, but he was having too much fun with the six graders. However, the girls were able to track him down playing laser tag with them. They apologized to Gil, who soon realized he should really be hanging out with adults.

The episode ended with all of them having fun at the karaoke bar with Annie and Jake leading the singing.
