Marry Me” Season 1 Episode 6 “Bruges Me” will air on Tuesday, Nov. 25, 2014, at 9:00 p.m. on NBC. In the upcoming episode, Jake will try to get to know Annie's two gay dads better. Before we get into the details, let's do a quick check back on what happened previously.

Last week in “Thank Me” (air date: Nov. 18, 2014),  Annie (Casey Wilson) wanted to host Thanksgiving dinner this year, but this would mean taking the chore away from Jake’s (Ken Marino) mother, who always hosted the perfect dinner. Myrna (JoBeth Williams) was fine with the idea, but somehow, Annie felt that Myrna only agreed to this to compete with her. It’s something mothers-in-law always do.

Annie was stressed out with the preparations, pressured with topping Myrna’s cooking. When Jake found out that his mother actually prepared a backup turkey feast, then the competition was on!

With some help from Jake and their friends, Annie almost had Thanksgiving dinner perfected, until her mahogany table came, and it wasn’t the right size. How will they be able to have a proper meal sitting on a kid’s dinner table? Worse, just after the guests arrived, Annie and Jake burned the sumptuous feast they were supposed to serve, so they settled for what was left of it.

Annie conceded her defeat to Myrna. But Myrna said that once upon a time, she also botched up her very first Thanksgiving dinner and had a mother-in-law who was very undermining. It’s not unusual, as mothers-in-law and daughters-in-law don’t usually get along in the beginning. But Myrna seemed to be slowly accepting that her son will soon be cared for by Annie, and she was alright with this.

Meanwhile, Gil (John Gemberling) also had something going on this Thanksgiving. He suddenly learned that he was good as detecting different flavors of cheese and scored one that he offered at Annie’s Thanksgiving feast. This turned out to be cheese that’s made with breast milk. Everyone threw up the cheese they ate.

Spoiler Alert: “Marry Me” Season 1 Episode 6 “Bruges Me” will air on Tuesday, Nov. 25, 2014, at 9:00 p.m. on NBC.

In this episode, Jake will be spending some time with Annie’s gay fathers, after meeting with the wedding officiant. He realizes he should be getting to know them better, as Annie has gotten to know his mother better in the past. Their bonding time will start out well at first, as they share a deep love for motorcycles. But trouble will emerge, particularly with Kevin 2, who is played by Dan Bucantinsky. Kevin 1 is played by Tim Meadows.

Bucantinsky, by the way, has been made series regular on the show, according to TV Line. The actor was recently seen in shows like “Scandal” on ABC and is still part of “Web Therapy” on Showtime. Other than acting, he’s also the executive producer of “The Comeback” on HBO. Meadows will remain as a recurring character.

Meanwhile, the B-side to the upcoming episode will have Gil joining the Flemish Pride Parade. Annie will help him in his booth and will also give him a hand with preparing a special musical presentation.

And that’s what you will see next on “Marry Me” Season 1 Episode 6 “Bruges Me,” which will air on Tuesday, Nov. 25, 2014, at 9:00 p.m. on NBC. Come back to Movie News Guide (MNG) for the full recap after the episode airs.
