The 70-year-old Oscar-winning veteran actor, Michael Douglas, who plays the role of Hank Pym – creator of the “Ant-Man” suit, hasn’t been signed up for any sequels like most actors of the Marvel movies.
For the world’s smallest superhero, the box office hits over $100 million is pretty impressive. Isn’t it? Well, the fans of Marvel were delivered with a ton of tiny action and lot of comedy, on the big screen.
Yet, Douglas isn’t quite happy with the humor and the funny part he delivered in Ant-Man, unlike others. And if we see him return to the big screen with Marvel, he surely wants his character to be more humorous and funny, which is the only condition. In the next sequel he expects things would get ‘little more bizarre’ if he is going to be a cast again.
‘Scott Lang’ takes away the title of the miniscule Marvel hero, by stealing the original Ant-Man suit and becoming the second Ant-Man in the comics. But it doesn’t mean, Hank Pym doesn’t play any important role. After all, he is the scientist who discovered “Pym Particles.”
In an interview with Yahoo! Movie UK, Douglas expressed his desire to do more films with Marvel. But then, he was contracted for just one film, so he isn’t quite sure about his returning to the Marvel universe.
“Now that I understand a bit more about Hank Pym too. I think this one I had to carry a lot of plot and exposition. In the next one I hope things get a little more bizarre… the Quantum Realm!” Douglas said.
It is not yet official. We are still uncertain Of Michael Douglas return as Hank Pym in Phase Three. But undoubtedly for this one Douglas puts up an amazing performance and he has great potentials for the next one as well.
So would you like Douglas in the Marvel universe again?
