The winter hiatus, for fans of the MARVEL television universe, means that one of MARVEL’s most pioneering female characters is back for more adventures in a brand new city. MARVEL’s “Agent Carter” is back, and among the many surprises that this season has in store for viewers and fans is the fact that a very familiar face will be returning in a very interesting way. WARNING: This article will contain spoilers for the second season of MARVEL’s “Agent Carter”.
In anticipation for the return of one of MARVEL’s most pioneering female characters, the official Twitter account of MARVEL’s “Agent Carter” has just released a new teaser trailer.
The teaser trailer, aside from the usual suspects, features Chad Michael Murray’s Strategic Scientific Reserve Agent Jack Thompson, who informs Strategic Scientific Reserve Agent Peggy Carter (Hayley Atwell) that she will be leaving for California in three hours.
There, she meets up with Edwin Jarvis (James D’Arcy) and her new boss, Strategic Scientific Reserve Agent Daniel Sousa (Enver Gjokaj), and immediately finds herself in the center of all sorts of trouble.
In the trailer, she is shown wielding a sword and a gun, and is seen looking over a dead body along with other agents in the California branch.
Aside from that, Entertainment Weekly recently discovered that Lyndsy Fonseca’s Angie Martinelli will be returning, but in a very interesting way.
According to the report, the ninth episode of the second season will pick up right from where the eighth episode ended, with Jarvis and Peggy both knocked out cold.
While she is out, Peggy will experience a dream in the format of a Broadway song and dance number, which will feature “Dancing with the Stars” contestants, in a dream that will go from black and white to technicolored in the span of a few minutes.
Angie will be there acting as Peggy’s conscience, which should delight fans of the friendship between the two women. Angie, who knows Peggy even better than she knows herself, will be there to help Peggy regain some focus and clarity, and will be the one to voice Peggy’s deep seated feelings, which she normally hides.
