MARVEL’s “Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.” Post Mortem and Spoilers for Season Three

As the summer season draws near, and as it begins to start, many viewers and fans who are wondering about the fate of their favorite television shows have already gotten closure as to what made the cut and would stay on for another season, which later would allow them to begin speculating as to what will be happening next to their favorite television shows that will return once again come fall.

One of these shows that is returning for another season in MARVEL’s “Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.”, which left viewers and fans wondering what will be happening next to their favorite agents within the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Thankfully, several of the cast members and the executive producer of the show managed to sit down with Zap2It, The Hollywood Reporter and in order to discuss several things regarding how the second season ended, and as to what will be happening in the upcoming season. Read on to learn more about the cast members and the executive producer of the show has to say about the upcoming season which will premiere in the fall.

According to an exclusive interview that executive producer Jeffrey Bell had with The Hollywood Reporter, there will be a lot to look forward to in the third season.

With regards to rumors and speculations regarding Skye or Daisy Johnson (Chloe Bennet) and the possibility of her leading the “Secret Warriors”, which in the comic book universe, consists of a team of super powered people who are anonymous and operate in secret, the fact that she was talking about it with S.H.I.E.L.D. Director Phil Coulson (Clark Gregg) means that it is truly going to happen.

With regards to Grant Ward (Brett Dalton), Dalton told that his character is definitely out for revenge, and according to Bell’s interview with The Hollywood Reporter, for Ward, his fight with S.H.I.E.L.D. in the upcoming season will be more personal than before. He also mentioned that Ward does blame S.H.I.E.L.D. for Kara’s (Maya Stojan) death, and that he does miss having a team, which is why it was a good fit for him to being leading a faction of HYDRA, that Coulson and the team will have to deal with in season three.

With regards to whether or not there will be a time jump, Zap2It has announced that there will be a time jump, and confirmed that all the regular characters on the show will be back, including Elizabeth Henstridge, who portrays Agent Jemma Simmons, who in the last moments of the season, was swallowed up by the Kree Stone that S.H.I.E.L.D. had.

With regards to her fate, the interview with Bell on The Hollywood Reporter has confirmed that her other teammates will notice her absence and will search for her immediately, but he remained mum on what exactly will happen to her.

Bell’s interview with also stated that he and the show’s writers are open to bringing back Luke Mitchell in the third season as the Inhuman Lincoln, and mentioned that they will be bringing in old MARVEL characters, and new MARVEL characters, as they go along their way into helping create a new mythology for the MARVEL Cinematic Universe.
