Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.” Season 2 Episode 2 “Heavy Is the Head” aired on Tuesday, Sept. 30, 2014, at 9:00 p.m. on ABC. Hartley was dead. Hunter made a commitment to Talbot, and Creel bypassed his deal with a Hydra agent. Read on to learn more about this episode.

Previously on “Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.” (Episode 2 “Heavy Is the Head”), Agent May (Ming-Na Wen) was assigned to work in the field. She came to help Hartley (Lucy Lawless) and the others when they encountered Creel (Brian Patrick Wade). Hunter (Nick Blood) was the only one who made it. When the soldiers arrived, they took Hunter and brought him in someplace else. When the soldiers left, Talbot (Adrian Pasdar) arrived in a helicopter and fetch Hunter. During the ride, Talbot offered Hunter a deal. Hunter asked for funds and a proper burial for Hartley. Talbot agreed only if Hunter brings Coulson (Clark Gregg) to him.

Creel has absorbed the properties of the obelisk; hence, a waitress died just by touching him. Raina (Ruth Negga) appeared out of nowhere to offer Creel an object that can help his condition in exchange for the obelisk. Creel refused and took the object from Raina.

Creel was in a park to meet Hydra’s agent. S.H.I.E.L.D., on the other hand, was working on a mission to take him and the obelisk with Hunter, who confessed what he did to Coulson. Hunter blew up the team’s operation. He wanted to kill Creel to avenge the death of his friends. However, when he pulled the trigger, Creel turned into something like steel. Hence, Hunter failed to kill him. Meanwhile, the Hydra agent was not able to take the obelisk, but Raina did.

By the end of this episode, May confronted Coulson and scolded him about keeping too much. Then we saw Coulson scribbling in the wall, similar with that of the obelisk when it lit when Raina held it. She thought it worked, but a man, Skye’s (Chloe Bennet) dad, told her that it just let her live. Raina asked the man to show her how the obelisk works. The man told her to bring him first his daughter, and he would show them.

The episode ended with Coulson inviting Hunter to join S.H.I.E.L.D.
