MARVEL’s Agents of SHIELD” Season 2 Episode 13 “One Of Us” aired  on Tuesday, Mar. 17, 2015 at 9:00 p.m. In this episode, Agent Melinda May (Ming-Na Wen) called her ex-husband, Dr. Andrew Garner (Blair Underwood) to help assess Agent Skye (Chloe Bennet), who tried her best to control her powers. At the same time, S.H.I.E.L.D. Director Phil Coulson (Clark Gregg) and Agent Bobbi Morse (Adrianne Palicki) faced off with Calvin Zabo (Kyle MacLachlan) and several others from the Gifted Index. Meanwhile, Alphonso “Mack” Mackenzie (Henry Simmons) revealed to a captured Lance Hunter (Nick Blood) who he and Bobbi were really working for. Read on to learn more about this episode.

Calvin “Cal” Zabo (Kyle MacLachlan), Agent Skye’s (Chloe Bennet) father paid a visit to Karla Faye Gideon (Dre de Matteo), a woman on the Gifted Index who had razors stuck on her fingernails, and recruited her to join him and his team of other Gifted individuals in order to strike back at S.H.I.E.L.D. His team consisted of Wendell Levi (Ric Sarabia), a technological genius and Francis Noche (Geo Corvera), who used chemicals to get very strong.

Meanwhile, inside S.H.I.E.L.D. Headquarters, Jemma Simmons (Elizabeth Henstridge) told Agent Bobbi Morse (Adrianne Palicki) that Skye’s and Raina’s (Ruth Negga) new DNA showed that something inside of them had been triggered by the Terragenic mist, and told her that even if they did lie for a living, that Leo Fitz (Iain de Castecker), in keeping Skye’s powers secret, had betrayed her trust, and the only thing that they shared together-science. Afterwards, Bobbi told Alphonso “Mack” Mackenzie (Henry Simmons), who was holding Lance Hunter (Nick Blood) captive to “bring him in”.

On the Bus, Skye told , S.H.I.E.L.D. Director Phil Coulson (Clark Gregg) that she was better at controlling her powers, and even though they put her on the index, she wanted to go back into the field. Because of this, Agent Melinda May (Ming-Na Wen) asked her ex-husband, Dr. Andrew Garner (Blair Underwood), to give Skye a psychological evaluation under his conditions and terms. At first, Skye didn’t like the idea, but after learning that he was May’s ex-husband, tried to interrogate him for details about him and May. However, all that she got out from him was that he and May had eloped. Afterwards, she revealed to him that she had “iced” herself because she couldn’t stop herself from making the room shake, and told him that her powers were terrified of her.

While this happened, Coulson and Bobbi went to a psychiatric facility with a sub-level basement that held two dangerous individuals on the index as Cal and his team had broken out David A. Anger (Jeff Philips), a man whose voice was so powerful that even a whisper could induce a catatonic state. Inside Angar’s cell, they discovered that the words “Fight On!” were painted on the wall.

In the laboratory, Simmons was surprised that Fitz had decided to microwave the contents of his mug there instead of the kitchen. Fitz then told her that May and Andrew were talking inside the kitchen, and that Andrew had been teasing May about her inability to cook. However, their conversation was cut short as Skye, who was fast asleep, made the entire Bus and Headquarters shake. However, after waking up, she stopped the shaking by calming herself down.

Back on the quin jet, Coulson, in order to distract himself, talked to Bobbi about Hunter’s disappearance, and the fact that he knew that the two had been seeing each other again. She then told him that Mack had gone to find Hunter who had disappeared as he was drowning his sorrows in beer as she had broken off their relationship again. Afterwards, Coulson realized that Cal was heading towards Wisconsin, whose sports team slogan was “Fight On”, as he was trying to lure Coulson home.

At the local school in Wisconsin, Cal made Angar scream, causing the birds and everyone else to faint.

Back on the bus, Andrew learned that Skye had been dreaming about the fact that a S.H.I.E.L.D. gun was pointed at her, and the two were surprised when the room started to shake as May was flying the Bus to Coulson, as he needed back up. Skye then volunteered her services to show her father that she was on the Index, after learning that he was behind everything.

At the local school, Coulson allowed himself to go on the football field unarmed, where Karla, Francis and Angar were waiting for him. May then showed up with a gun to Skye’s neck, and threatened to hurt Skye if he didn’t stop. However, before Angar could use his powers, Gordon (Jamie Harris) came and took Cal away, as he was “too noisy”. Later, Gordon released him after telling him that he wasn’t one of them.

Back in Wisconsin, Bobbi then fought Karla; Coulson knocked out Angar and Levi; and May took down Francis. However, Skye, who couldn’t take it anymore, started to make the ground shake, but stopped it just in time, causing herself to faint and to have bruises on her arm, which she later learned was caused by the fact that she was directing her powers inward.

Afterwards, Coulson instructed Simmons to figure out a way to stop powers like Skye’s just in case; and Mack took Lance to the people he worked for- the REAL S.H.I.E.LD.
