Read on to learn more about MNG’s “Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.” recap of Season 1 Episode 20 “Nothing Personal.”

Previously on “Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.” (“Nothing Personal” Season 1 Episode 20), Agent May (Ming-Na Wen) had a conversation with Agent Maria Hill (Cobie Smulders) and informed her that Coulson (Clark Gregg) needed help.  In the Providence base, the team was trying to figure out what could have happened to Skye (Chloe Bennet), Ward (Brett Dalton), Koenig (Patton Oswalt) and May. The footage showed that Skye boarded the bus with Ward, May left and Koenig was nowhere to be found.

Simmons then found Koenig’s lifeless body and confirmed that Ward killed him, while Fitz read Skye’s message: “Ward is HYDRA.” Fitz (Iain De Caestecker) was furious because of a colleague’s betrayal. Coulson calmed him down and shifted his focus on something else like saving Skye.

Colonel Talbot (Adrian Pasdar) arrived in the Providence to take information from the team. When asked who lead them there, Hill showed up. While she argued with Coulson in a different area, she told Coulson that it would be best to give Talbot some meaningless information. Coulson accused Hill that she was just trying to protect her secrets. Coulson then filled her with the news that Ward was a Hydra. Upon knowing this, Hill’s priority shifted to helping Coulson’s team take down Talbot and his men and escape Providence, not to mention save Skye.

Skye lied to Ward. He told him that the drive can be decrypted in a diner where she met Mike Peterson (J. August Richards). Ward suddenly turned suspicious as two cops were keeping their eyes on him. Skye tried to play it cool by pretending to decrypt the drive and asking Ward to get his attention. Then, she revealed to him that she called the cops. Ward, of course, fought them, while Skye tried to escaped with the police car. Unfortunately, Deathlok was already waiting for her.

Deathlok and Ward took Skye to the bus, but she would not give them what they want. Ward told Skye that it was nothing personal and that his feelings for her were real. Do you believe him? Upon receiving orders from Garrett (Bill Paxton), Deathlok went for Plan B, which is to shoot Ward in the heart to get Skye to reveal what she knows. It was effective though. She told Deathlok that the hard drive could be decrypted while airborne. It was only then that Deathlok released his grip on Ward’s heart.

When Ward and Deathlok tried to fly the plane, Hill and Triplett were waiting for them out front. Actually, it was their tactic to lure them so Coulson can board the craft. However, Coulson had no idea that Deathlok was on the plane. Lola came in to the rescue. Coulson took Skye, while Ward and Deathlok engaged in open fire.

Hill reminded Coulson that once he was done with Ward, he must let his team go. Meanwhile, Skye left Ward a message when she encrypted the hard drive.

As for May, she waited for Coulson to arrive and told him what she discovered—the final report about the TAHITI project. Coulson discovered by watching the footage that he was telling Director Fury (Samuel L. Jackson) to terminate the project.
