Read on to find out more about the “Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.” spoilers featuring Season 1 Episode 18 “Providence” including a brief recap of the last episode.
Previously on “Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.” (“Turn, Turn, Turn” Season 1 episode 17 air date: April 8, 2014), May (Ming-Na Wen) was held at gunpoint. She would not dare to snap as Coulson (Clark Gregg) was ready to shoot her. She explained that the encrypted line she was using was connected with Director Fury. Coulson ordered Skye (Chloe Bennet) to find out where the plane was heading. Moreover, while Garrett (Bill Paxton) was on board, another plane was attacking him with a S.H.I.E.L.D. logo.
Coulson would not waste any moment as he shot May with an icer. At the hub, Victoria (Saffron Burrows) threatened those under her charge that they would all die if proven of disloyalty to her. Coulson openly stated his suspicions against Victoria as the Clairvoyant. Skye, on the other hand, managed to unlock the code, revealing that they were up against Hydra, an influential and powerful organization.
Hydra was thought to have been eliminated during World War II. It was discovered that the group was sending signals to its members in S.H.I.E.L.D.
Simmons (Elizabeth Henstridge) tried to keep her research from the privy Triplett (BJ Britt) but failed. She then revealed that she was uploading Skye’s blood sample. Having a Level 6 clearance, Triplett allowed Simmons to call Weaver (Christine Adams). They soon learned that no one can be trusted in S.H.I.E.L.D. as Hydra managed to get in.
Hold on tight as the turn of events can get really shocking. Triplett and Simmons were brought to Victoria and have them sworn their fidelity to Hydra or die. Triplett chose death. Victoria was not a member of Hydra. She was just checking on her agents’ loyalty, but she accused Coulson of being the Clairvoyant. Wrong. The true Clairvoyant was Garrett. He was a part of Hydra. He ordered to shoot the other agents who do not swear loyalty to Hydra.
As always, good beats evil. But never take for granted the chances of twists! Garrett was arrested. Ward (Brett Dalton) accompanied Victoria in the plane heading to Garrett’s cell. Victoria wanted Garrett dead. Then, Ward shot the two S.H.I.E.L.D. agents guarding Garrett, including Victoria.
