“MARVEL’s Agents of SHIELD” Season 2 Episode 19 “The Dirty Half Dozen” aired on Tuesday, April 28, 2015 at 9:00 PM. In this episode, the original S.H.I.E.L.D. team reunited and raced against time to save S.H.I.E.L.D. Agent Mike Peterson (J. August Richards) and Lincoln (Luke Mitchell) from HYDRA and Dr.  List. As important secrets were revealed, Raina (Ruth Negga), thanks to her new gift, discovered a new threat that would change the world forever. Read on to learn more about this episode.

The episode began with Raina (Ruth Negga) having visions of Gordon (Jamie Harris) getting hurt; Lincoln (Luke Mitchell) getting torn apart by HYDRA; Skye (Chloe Bennet) using her power to save Lincoln; and S.H.I.E.L.D. Director Phil Coulson (Clark Gregg) working together with former HYDRA Agent Grant Ward (Brett Dalton). She then woke up in time to see Jiaying (Dichen Lachman) watching her. After talking to her for a while, Gordon came back with his forehead cut, just as Raina saw in her dream. Jiaying then got Calvin “Cal” Zabo (Kyle MacLachlan) to calm down. Skye then tried to convince Jiaying to send a team to rescue Lincoln, but she refused to do so,

Inside The Bus, Coulson told Commander Robert Gonzales (Edward James Olmos) his plan to rescue Lincoln and Agent Mike Peterson (J. August Richards) from the HYDRA base, as they were being experimented on. He also told him that he had a team ready to go, and that they had a man on the inside- Sunil Bakshi (Simon Kassianides). Finally, he agreed to open the Toolbox for him if he agreed to do so.

Afterwards, Agent Melinda May (Ming-Na Wen) informed Ward that he and Kara (Maya Stojan) would be guarded the entire time. Meanwhile, inside the laboratory, Agent  Jemma Simmons (Elizabeth Henstridge) informed Agent Leo Fitz (Iain de Castecker) that she had created bombs that could disintegrate a person, which meant that she wanted to use it on Ward.

Inside Gonzales’ office, May, who had the deciding vote to send the team or not, told Coulson in private that she felt betrayed that Coulson had gone behind her back by consulting with her ex-husband. Coulson then told her that he had been his patient, and refused to say anything about Theta Protocol. As the team packed up, Simmons managed to convince Coulson to allow her to join. Ward then told Kara to stay so that she could get her memories of being a S.H.I.E.L.D agent back, and found an unexpected ally in Agent Bobbi Morse (Adrienne Palicki).

As the team headed into The Bus, they were surprised by the arrival of Skye, who had Gordon bring her there after discovering that Raina was indeed clairvoyant, and had told her that she could save Lincoln.

As everyone was uncomfortable with Ward, he told them that he regretted that his actions caused their team, their family to break apart.

At the HYDRA base, List, who had just told Bakshi that the most successful experiments that they had to date were the twins who were with Strucker in Sokovia, noticed that a plane was approaching, and decided to shoot them out of the sky. However, it was revealed after The Bus was destroyed, that the team were in a small quinjet. Once inside, Bakshi joined Ward, Simmons and Skye, who were to rescue Mike and Lincoln; and Coulson joined with May and Fitz, who were to disable the missile systems.

Skye then proved that she could control her powers, and headed up to the operating room to get Lincoln. However, she had to fight of several men first, and jumpstarted Lincoln’s heart after he flat lined. She was then joined by Simmons, who had ended up killing Bakshi, who had jumped in to save his master, Ward, as Simmons had tried to kill him. Much to Simmons’ surprise, Ward didn’t kill her. Coulson also managed to get something else on a thumb drive before S.H.I.E.L.D. destroyed the HYDRA base. Unfortunately, List had been able to escape.

Back at the base, Ward called up Coulson and told him to take care of Kara, as he believed that he didn’t have enough good in him for her.

Gonzales then revealed that he had gone along so that he could get two enhanced people-Skye and Lincoln. Coulson then opened the Toolbox and revealed that Nick Fury (Samuel Jackson) was still alive.

Afterwards, in his office, he gave Maria Hill (Cobie Smulders) Strucker’s coordinates, and told her that he had found Loki’s scepter, which they knew could control minds. He then told her that Theta Protocol was ready, and that it was time to bring in The Avengers.

Meanwhile, Raina had a vision and told Jiaying that she saw a scepter; that metal men would attack the world, and that because of this, and the consequences of man’s actions, the world would be changed forever.
