“Filming has been great. I can’t really talk about specifics. Really. But I can tell you it’s all working. It’s all gritty. Everything is really impressive. They seem to know what they’re doing over at Marvel. I think ever since Downey and [Jon] Favreau did Iron Man and proved that comic book movies could be really cool they’ve just embraced that and taken it to the next level. They keep knocking it out of the park. This Netflix series that we’re filming right now, it’s going to be so amazing to watch. We’re doing these incredible, iconic scenes every single day. I have the best character; I play one of the best characters I’ve read in a long time. I haven’t had this much fun with a role for many years,” elaborated D’Onofrio as published on Comic Book Movie.
For those who are not entirely familiar with his role in “Daredevil” as Kingpin, William Fisk is the real name of the character who bears the alter name. He is basically a very eponymous and powerful businessman who has great inclinations for Hell’s Kitchen, and this, in turn, becomes his bridge for conflict against the visually impaired attorney Matt Murdock, who happens to be Daredevil himself.
The six-foot-four actor is very much excited in playing the role for the Marvel TV serial, and this brought him to channel the ancient prowess of Frank Miller who serves as his inspiration for the highly acclaimed role.
In addition to such excitement, there was even a mention of a possible crossover between Robert Downey Jr.’s Tony Stark and his William Fisk, granting that the two actors have come into such pleasurable turns since their working relationship for the film “The Judge.” The actor simply stated that the notion is not entirely impossible. As a matter of fact, he even highlighted that the beginning of this TV series will kick start numerous crossovers in the Marvel Universe. Could it really be possible that both will collide?
