“Star Wars: The Force Awakens” is expected to be a blockbuster hit with the pre-sales ticket record. The team behind the film franchise is tapping more help to ensure its success in the international scene. Fans speculated that for its Korean release, EXO will have a joint project with them. How would did they come up with this guess?
According to Soompi, last Monday, Nov. 2, a picture was uploaded in the official “Star Wars” Facebook. The picture has an intergalactic background and a white silhouette of nine males.
“‘Star Wars: The Force Awaken’ collaboration music video! Awakening the force with top stars! Which idols are posing for Stars Wars in the picture?” the caption said.
The white silhouette is a giveaway clue for the die-hard fans of EXO. All of them commented that without a doubt, it is the group indeed. They explained that the white silhouette picture of the band is taken from the shot in their latest music video from the track “Love Me Right.”
Given that it’s really the EXO who have worked together with “Star Wars,” the members who are definitely excited for it are Suho and Baekhyun. In an article from K Pop Starz, they showed their inner geek side as huge fanatics of the popular franchise. Last Friday, Oct. 2, Baekhyun posted in his Instagram a picture of him and Suho. They playfully posed beside a hologram of C3PO.
“The kid moving next to me is a hologram! Ah, I can’t wait to watch Star Wars! The Force Awakens will wake up my force too,” the caption said.
The collaboration music video of Star Wars and EXO is schedule for its release, today Nov. 5. Meanwhile, “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” will hit the cinema this coming December.
