“The Scorch Trials” movie, the second installment to the “Maze Runner” franchise is only a couple of months away from its premiere. The trailer to the sequel was recently released at the 20th Century Fox CinemaCon in Las Vegas on April 23. Fans are already anticipating that the first official trailer to the sequel will be released anytime soon.
As previously reported, “Maze Runner: The Scorch Trials” trailer is expected to be released on May 22. Now, James Dashner seemingly hinted on his Twitter account that the trailer would come out in one week. Dashner held a Q&A portion with his fans and followers on Twitter, answering questions from “The Scorch Trials” to his upcoming book, “The Fever Code.”
“Let me also say this: the wait for the trailer will be worth it. #dashnerchat,” Dashner said.
Dashner also admitted that while he has no control over when the trailer gets released in public, he can assure his fans that the sneak preview would come out in May. Speaking about the upcoming “Scorch Trials” movie, Dashner also hinted that the film is “insane” and likened it to the first movie being on steroids, especially with the addition of new cast members.
Dashner also reminded his fans to brace themselves for several changes, as such things almost always happens when a well-loved book series is adapted into the big screen. He asked his fans not to get angry about the said changes and added that he approved of such changes because they made sense.
According to MTV, the first official trailer for “The Scorch Trials” showed a kiss take place between Thomas (Dylan O’Brien) and Teresa (Kaya Scodelario). The sequel will see Thomas and the rest of the Gladers entering another maze and coming across a group called the “Cranks” led by Jorge (Giancarlo Esposito).
