The Marvel Cinematic Universe just keeps getting better and better. Recent reports are suggesting we might see a mega super villain team up in the MCU with Masters Of Evil. Read on to find out more.
“Avengers: Age Of Ultron” is out on home release, and a mini-video been released by Marvel to plug it, seems to suggest a Masters Of Evil in a future movie. The featurette, entitled “Connecting the Universes” draws the connection between Ultron (Tony Stark created evil robot) and Ulysses Klaw (Arms dealer who was ‘disarmed’ by Ulton) and how they used to be part of the same super-evil team, the Masters of Evil.
And it has got the folks at Cinema Blend thinking that we could be seeing Marvel’s first evil team, like some kind of anti-Avengers, soon. In the Marvel comics universe, the Masters of Evil have gone through several iterations, starting with one in the Nazi-era taken down by Captian America, to one led by Ultron. Since Ultron is (currently) dead in the MCU, and the other villains in MoE:, Baron Zemo, Enchantress, Executioner, Madame Masque, Absorbing Man, Radioactive Man, Mister Hyde et al, have not really been introduced in the MCU, the adaptation obviously still has some ways to go.
Ulysses Klaw (minus an arm) is still around though, and given that in the comics he transforms into ‘solid-sound’ and terrorizes Black Panther’s Wakanda, we are pretty sure he still has a way to go in the MCU.
For those out of their depth with colorfully costumed superheroes and villains fighting, dying and resurrecting all of a sudden, Marvel has helpfully published a “Guidebook to the Marvel Cinematic Universe” with facts about all the movies and the connections between them. It is predicted that this book is going to very essential as the new phase of MCU movies hit the screens, causing even more confusion (via Newsarama.com)
