Nicki Minaj’s boyfriend, rapper Meek Mill caused another controversy last Sunday when he began telling off his DJ to stop playing songs from hip-hop artist Future during the Made In America Fest in Philadelphia. Read on for more details.
According to a report from Hot New Hip Hop, the “Dream Chasers” head honcho belted out saying, “You’re playing all motherf—— Future tonight, n—-? Play some hot s— too. I think Future on Made In America”.
The 28-year-old “Dreams Worth More Than Money” artist aka Robert Rihmeek Williams has a long history of feuds with other rap artists infamously with Canadian rapper Drake. The said feud was ignited by Mills who paraded his ill-will on social media saying that he shouldn’t be in competition with Drake as the latter doesn’t write his own rap songs.
Drake instantly didn’t take it well and rapidly responded with two intense rap songs entitled, “Charged Up’ and “Back to Back.” Minaj’s beau recollected his thoughts and ignited further the battle with his own diss track called “Don’t Know.”
Mill though was quick in retracing his steps and posted on his Instagram account to make things more understandable.
“My Dj caught a future attack on the set when he was told play a bunch of artist shit! Lol He prolly did it because I tell play all future in the club! Don’t get it f—– up we rather see the streets win b4 anything,” Mill defended his statement.
It can be argued that earlier in July during the “Dreams Worth More Than Money” album release, Mill was ecstatic about his respect for Nayvadius DeMun Wilburn aka Future who he commended as one of his favorite acts.
Mill and Drake’s feud maybe more than just about their craft. The latter has long acknowledged that he has a soft spot for Mill’s “Anaconda” singer girlfriend Minaj. Drake even confessed that he had a schoolboy crush on the 32-year-old Tongan-American rapper as cited in a previous article by this website.
