“Fifty Shades of Grey” star Dakota Johnson was accompanied by her mom Melanie Griffith in the recently held 87th Academy Awards. What was supposed to be an exciting event for the mother and daughter pair turned awkward when the subject panned to Johnson’s racy film. Read on for further details.
ABC’s Lara Spencer approached Johnson and her mom and asked Griffith whether she has seen her daughter’s movie, “Fifty Shades of Grey.” Griffith said no, and then Johnson interjected, “Maybe one day.”
However, Griffith seemed unsure whether she would really want to see Johnson’s film.
“I don’t think I can. I think it would be strange,” Griffith said.
Again, Johnson interjected and said that perhaps one day her mom could see it. Spencer, on the other hand, commented that Johnson did great in the film, to which Griffith responded, “She’s a really good actress, I don’t need to see that to know how good she is.”
Johnson looked pissed and quipped, “Alright you don’t have to see it! I say that you can see it and you’re just like ‘no’.”
Johnson was a presenter at the Oscars 2015 and was wearing a bright red Saint Laurent gown and Forevermark jewels.
