The producers of “Men In Black” franchise went laughing all the way to the bank with the last installment which hauled in 624 million dollars during its run on the box office. But it looks like they have had enough with the old theme and want to take the fourth installment in a new direction. And here’s a big surprise – the fourth installment is going to be all about a “woman in black,” if the rumors are to be believed.
Producers Laurie MacDonald and Walter Parkes are bored of the idea of spinning tales about Will Smith’s Agent J and Tommy Lee Jones’s Agent K. They think that the trilogy was a good way to wrap the whole saga and are now looking to explore the whole MIB universe from a new angle. So what’s the new angle? As it turns out, the new angle will include a woman. Yep. The all-male, all-testosterony “Men in Black” universe is going to get owned by a woman. The producers are seriously looking to include a super hot female lead in the cast and, here’s an even bigger surprise, they might even let go the movie’s big star, Will Smith.
We don’t know about you, but an MIB without Will Smith sounds like Christmas without a Christmas tree. Will the producers really make that gutsy move? Smith is, after all, a big star. The kind of star that pulls in crowds, we might add. Can they really do a Men in Black without Will Smith? Well, to tell the truth, this is still a rumor. The script is being written even as we speak. The real scoop may not show up on the horizon till early next year. But we just wanted to tell you what we had heard from Cinemablend.
