NBA draft might be done, but there rumors floating around that many teams, one of them being Miami Heat, are looking to trade their players to other teams. Some teams are finding it hard to trade their players, like Minnesota Timberwolves, who can’t seem to find any takers for Anthony Bennett and the New York Knicks, who are still meditating on trading Carmelo Anthony. Miami Heat is looking to trade both Chris Andersen and Mario Chalmers, because they are proving to be very expensive tax-wise. Read on for more details.
It is evident that the Miami Heat are looking to cut down on the expenses. So it is looking to trade some of its more expensive ‘assets’ with other teams. According to Slam Online, as reported by Cross Map, the players they are looking to trade are Chalmers and Andersen.
While they are looking to get more economic replacements, New York Knicks are looking to add more talent by courting Andersen. It has also been told that the Dallas Mavericks are also courting him to join them. Miami Heat have reason to believe that they may no longer need Andersen now that they have Josh McRoberts and Amar’e Stoudemire, who might prove to be good replacements for Andersen. It is true that Andersen still packs heat. However, he is starting to look a little old on the roster and McRoberts and Amar’e Stoudemire might inject some much required fresh blood into the team. It might give the energy boost that the team desperately needs at the moment.
All U Can Heat.com says that even though it looks like Andersen is on his way out, he has still got some game in him. He is still an efficient scorer, he gets it right over 60 percent of times. And he is still ranked high on the defense stats.
Chalmers is the other player Miami Heat is looking to trade and Los Angeles Lakers look eager to take him on. It is said that Chalmers’ presence will strengthen D’Angelo Danté Russell’s point guard in the team.
