From playing Magneto, one of the most powerful mutants in Marvel’s “X-Men: First Class,” “X-Men: Days of Future Past,” and in the upcoming “X-Men: Apocalypse” to Steve Jobs, Apple’s visionary and co-founder. Michael Fassbender has surely had his share of varied roles that he is playing. Important thing for the actor to do will be to keep the two roles that are poles apart separate from each other and let both the roles have a unique identity.
Venture Capital Post notes that the actor is fully committed to doing justice to the Steve Jobs role in the Apple innovator’s biopic by Danny Boyle. From the looks to his behavior everything has been taken care by actor himself so that he can look the part. The news outlet also reported that in one of the looks Michael looks more like Christian Bale instead of Jobs but still he suits the part. The transition that we were talking about before would be one very crucial part for the actor to keep. This transition is important because that will help the actor expand his capabilities as an actor.
With two movies so different from each other, he will be able to show that he can also portray characters that are different. Because in movies like “X-Men: First Class” and “X-Men: Days of Future Past”, he was more of this deadly character who you would not like to mess around with. With powers like controlling the magnetic energy according to his own will in a way makes the character almost invincible. In the first movie “X-Men: First Class” itself he almost stopped a huge submarine, turned an entire tower towards himself, took down a small unit of Army on foreign land and that too by himself. Not to forget that he sent Wolverine flying away wrapped in metal in “X-Men: Days of Future Past”. Take this and change it completely to someone who only knows how to think fast and how to think smart. In “Steve Jobs” when Seth Rogen’s Steve Wozniak confronts Michael’s Jobs about what he does, a brilliant reply sets the record straight.
In “Steve Jobs”, Michael will have to prove that he can be a pretty tough guy even without using brawns. With the first trailer of “Steve Jobs” launching recently, one could see the transition in Michael’s personality as he shifts from being the powerful Magneto to megalomaniac Steve Jobs. However it is yet to be seen how does the movie perform at the box office since a previous attempt at the movie didn’t turn out that well.
