Here’s a movie literally everybody is going to watch: Mila Kunis, Christina Applegate and Kristen Bell are making a new film together, to be penned by “The Hangover” scribes. According to the latest reports by Variety, the three gorgeous goddesses of the screen will star together for the first time in the yet untitled project STX written by Jon Lucas and Scott Moore. Lucas and Moore made their directorial debut with the comedy “21 & Over” and also wrote all the “Hangover” movies. They will also be acting as directors for this project, previously called “Bad Moms”, with Bill Block and Suzanne Todd (from “Alice in Wonderland”) coming on board to produce.
According the the official synopsis published by Variety:
“The film follows three moms who embark on a quest to liberate themselves from their mundane, everyday chores, accidentally landing themselves on a collision course with their children’s school’s PTA president and her blindly devoted clique of “perfect” moms.”
No doubt the three of the funniest actresses currently the the business will have plenty of hands on expertise to bring to the role, with all three being parents of young children. Kunis and Bell have daughters who are just around a year in age, whereas Applegate is mother to a four year old.
And STX Entertainment is obviously on cloud nine to have them on board, with president Oren Aviv telling variety that:
“This film provides the rare opportunity for a half-dozen strong female lead roles, and we are thrilled to have assembled an exceptional cast led by Mila Kunis, Christina Applegate, Kristen Bell.”
Anybody would be. And Lucas and Scott have already proved their comedic chops with “Hangover” and “Ghost of the Girlfriends Past.” Watch this space for more updates as the project progresses!
