‘MTV won’t let me perform, so I’m hosting instead’ – Miley Cyrus announced as host of MTV VMAs
The “Bangerz” singer, Miley Cyrus is on it again! She’s definitely the craziest yet the queen of headlines nowadays as she announces that since MTV won’t let her perform, she’ll be hosting this year’s VMA instead!
Wearing an alien costume and a sandwich board hanging on her neck; this is Cyrus’ unusual yet unique way of announcing that she’ll be banging our screen as a host in the upcoming MTV Video Music Award (VMA) this August.
Cyrus announced her VMA hosting job on her Instagram and Twitter account with a caption: “F*ck Yeah VMAs!!!!! #VMAs on @MTV Aug. 30 at 9PM;” serving as the broadcast’s first emcee since Kevin Hart at the 2012 VMA show.
The 22-year-old singer made her first VMA appearance during her Hannah Montana image, competing against Katy Perry, and Taylor Swift to the Best New Artist award; she was 15 back then. Five years later, Cyrus once again made headlines on different top Entertainment news sites as she revealed the newest image of her, showing that Hannah Montana is definitely dead and will never be revived.
One of her mind-blowing yet most controversial performances was made in VMA in 2013 when she performed her “We Can’t Stop” song with Robin Thicke “Blurred Lines.” Cyrus did a twerking dance with giant teddy bears while lustily stripping down to a skinned tone bikini and grinding against Thicke. She even kissed him on the neck; wearing a giant foam finger while sticking and wagging her tongue; this act became her newest image.
And, as might as you remember, Cyrus’ 2014 VMA appearance was a bit different from her previous acts as she let her homeless friend Jesse Helt give an acceptance speech when she won the Best Video of the Year for her “Wrecking Ball” song.
On the other hand, VMA nominees were already announced; Taylor Swift, Beyonce and Ed Sheeran dominated the said list.
