When it comes to TV shows, we all know that original cast members MAY eventually leave and it is sad news to here that on “The Mindy Project,” a cast member is leaving in Season 2. Who could it be? Read on here at MNG to find out who is the original cast member of “The Mindy Project” who’s bidding adieu in Season 2!

According to TV Line, Zoe Jarman who plays the role of Betsy Putch, the receptionist, will not be seen on the next season of “The Mindy Project” (Season 3) as a regular cast member. However, she will not totally disappear from “The Mindy Project” because she will still appear on  the show as a guest star. This means that there is a huge possibility that we can still see her on “The Mindy Project” Season 3, but not as a regular in the TV series anymore.

If you have been a follower of “The Mindy Project,” you must know that the show has made numerous changes in their cast members lineup. In fact, Jarman was one of the only four remaining original series regulars along with Mindy Kaling, Chris Messina and Ed Weeks. And we do hope that no one will be cut off among the other 3! We’re really sad to see the naïve receptionist Betsy (played by Jarman) go but we all know that it is for the best and we’re not totally going to say goodbye to her forever anyway! We’ll still see her as a guest star, if not on other projects in the small and big screens.

However, with Jarman’s departure, does that mean that Shulman & Associates will introduce a new receptionist in “The Mindy Project” Season 3? And if yes, who could it be, then? What are your thoughts about Jarman’s departure? Do you think it’s a good idea? Are you going to miss her? Share with us your thoughts through the comments section below!
