The Mindy Project Season 3 Recap: Annette Castellano Is My Nemesis

By April Lara | 3 years ago

The Mindy Project” Season Episode 2 “Annette Castellano Is My Nemesis” aired on Tuesday, Sept. 23, 2014, at 9:30 p.m. on FOX. Danny’s mother and Mindy have finally met! Read on for the full recap of this episode.

Previously on “The Mindy Project” (Episode 2 “Annette Castellano Is My Nemesis”), Mrs. Castellano (Rhea Pearlman) entered Danny’s (Chris Messina) apartment and has mistaken Mindy (Mindy Kaling) as Danny’s housekeeper! It was until later when Danny’s mom went into his office and realized that Mindy was not Danny’s housekeeper, and at the same time, Mindy learned that there was a birthday brunch happening the next day.

Of course, Mindy went to brunch, and she learned that Danny was supporting his mother, that is, paying her bills. Mindy confronted Mrs. Castellano at a hotel where she started cleaning rooms out of embarrassment because her son is supporting her. That was when Mindy and Danny’s mom reconciled. They even went to Staten Island to visit Danny’s home when he was still a child.

We also saw the return of Danny’s brother, Richie, in this episode. Furthermore, we saw Mindy holding down Mrs. Castellano while she helps her pop her hip back into place. This was such a funny scene!

Who would have thought that this was how things will turn out between Danny’s mother and Mindy? All along, we thought she was going to make life even harder for Mindy as Danny’s girlfriend, but things ended up pretty well in this episode. We are excited on what is to come for us next week because things are getting better in “The Mindy Project,” and we cannot wait to see the next episode already,
