The Mindy Project Season 3 Recap: The Devil Wears Lands’ End

Lies definitely can get you into so much trouble as these might smoothen things out first. However, keeping lies is definitely one of the hardest things to do and that was proven to us by Mindy in “The Mindy Project” Season 3 Episode 5 “The Devil Wears Lands’ End.” Read on for our full recap.

The most-awaited cameo of Shonda Rhimes finally happened in this awesome episode.  Before that, let’s talk about what happened with Mindy and Danny. The two were caught by a traffic police, but Mindy lied to get out of it, and the police just let her go because for him she seemed demented to be dealt with at that moment.

Meanwhile, Dr. Jean Fishman has given all the employees at Shulman & Associates the graveyard shift, which has gotten everybody cranky. So, Mindy tried to be good by bringing her a cactus and inviting her for a girls’ night out.  Jean obliged, and they had so much fun until Jean went in to kiss Mindy on the lips. Instead of setting things straight right then and there, Mindy ignored the whole kiss even if she was so surprised to find out that Jean is a lesbian.

She told Danny about this, and Danny insisted that she tells Jean that she’s not a lesbian. When she was about to, she found out that Jean is actually married to Deborah, who found out about the kiss. Mindy lied again to save the hospital, so she told her that Danny was so upset with the kiss that he’s suicidal. Danny played along, and everything went well.

On the other hand, Peter was determined to beat the champion of the annual alumni beer-pong competition, Shonda Rhimes. Jeremy volunteered to be his partner at Dartmouth, and they were able to defeat Rhimes.
