In 2014, Movie News Guide reported that the Steven Spielberg and Tom Cruise science fiction movie “Minority Report” had been ordered and was picked up by FOX for a television pilot. Spoiler TV has recently shared the official synopsis of the pilot. Read on to learn more about this scoop.
In the movie, set 10 years after the film, there are people with “precognition” abilities, or “precogs,” who help the police out as they are able to foresee murders before they happen. According to early reports, the pilot will center around one out of three precogs. The recently released official synopsis of the pilot now shed some light as to who the main precog and who the three precogs are.
According to Spoiler TV, the three precogs in question are siblings Agatha, and younger twin siblings Arthur and Dash, who are closely monitored by researchers in the year 2040. More than 10 years later, in 2054, the 30-something-year-old siblings are estranged, specifically Arthur, as he no longer is with his twin and his sister. However, his twin, Dash, believes that his brother is nearby and wants to be reunited with him. Because of several circumstances and because he also wants to prevent the crimes and murders that he knows will be happening, he ends up working with Detective Lara Vega, and together, they try to prevent the worst from happening to others.
According to Deadline, the pilot has a director, in the person of Mark Mylod, who also directed the pilots of ABC’s “Once Upon a Time” and Showtime’s “The Affair.”
