Many people are still in disbelief over the recently concluded Miss Universe pageant. Miss Jamaica Kaci Fennell was the crowd’s winning bet. From her short bob to her beautifully bronze skin and witty personality, it’s no wonder how Miss Jamaica won the hearts of the pageant’s audience.
In an interview with E! News, Kaci Fennell shared her thoughts on Miss Universe’s results.
“I believe it went exactly how it should,” she said.
Fennell added that being in the Top 5 has made her proud, and she was surprised to be receiving this much attention from the netizens. The Twitter hashtag #MissJamaicaShouldHaveWon immediately became a trend shortly after Miss Jamaica was awarded fifth place.
“It’s so unexpected… I’m so happy I had this opportunity,” Fennell reacted.
When asked about theories circulating over the reason why she failed to win the crown, Fennell said that she has no regrets and that she would do it again and wouldn’t change a thing if she had the chance.
The Jamaican beauty also confessed to the outlet that she has been sporting her pageant-changing bob since she was a little girl. She said that because she’s a daddy girl, so when she was three years old, she cut her own hair to look like her dad.
“I went from long bobs to short bobs and just kept gradually cutting it shorter,” she added.
While Fennell is very calm while discussing the results and her reaction to the Miss Universe results, his grandfather, Michael Fennell, expressed criticisms over the pageant’s judges. In an interview with MailOnline, Fennell said that his granddaughter was “the victim of unwritten factors” and that they should have told her if having short hair is a problem.
Michael Fennell also defended his granddaughter against bashers who criticized her answer that Bob Marley and Usain Bolt are her country’s best contributions to the world.
