The controversial coronation of the Miss Universe 2015 has been making so much noise worldwide. It is considered to be one of the most awkward moments in the history of the pageant. But what others don’t know yet is what happens behind the curtains when the beauty queens start to show their true emotions and put their guard down.

Pia Wurtzbach, the hailed Miss Universe 2015 was shocked when Steve Harvey took back what he said and admitted that he made a mistake regarding his announcement. Initially, the host announced Miss Colombia Ariadna Gutierrez as the winner.

What happened backstage was very different, though, when the curtains were drawn and the new Miss Universe 2015, Wurtzbach was being touched up by her team and putting on the Miss Universe 2015 sash around her to prepare for her press conference. Posted by an Andres Felipe backstage, he was able to take a video of the beauty queen crying, what seems to be due to mixed emotions.

Questions arise as to why the 26-year old Filipina cried backstage. Wurtzbach’s journey to Miss Universe 2015 took her several tries, to be specific, 3 times before she made it this far and even bagged the crown. The beauty queen first took the Binibining Pilipinas title, which paved way to her Miss Universe dreams.

It looks like Wurtzbach cried tears of joy backstage when reality has finally sunk in that she won. Her tears of joy backstage only made the whole universe realize what a true person she is, it unraveled her that even amidst the coronation and winning, she is real and just like what she said during the Q&A portion, she is “confidently beautiful with a heart.”
