This year is turning out quite eventful for Rebecca Ferguson as this summer’s “Mission Impossible: Rogue Nation” opened new opportunities for her. After being confirmed to join “The Girl on the Train” alongside Emily Blunt and rumored talks to star as “Captain Marvel,” she is also being considered for another project- “Alien: Paradise Lost.”
According to Slash Film, “Prometheus” sequel now officially titled “Alien: Paradise Lost,” helmed by Ridley Scott, could see Rebecca Ferguson joining the cast alongside Michael Fassbender and Noomi Rapace. The media outlet reported that she is being considered for a major role in the movie. It is being said that ever since she was one of the choices to star in “Gambit,” 20th Century Fox has had her on their radar.
“Alien: Paradise Lost” will take off from where “Prometheus” ended and will show more of Elizabeth and David’s journey to the Engineer’s home planet to seek more answers. During the journey, more travellers are expected to join them and probably Rebecca’s character will be one of them.
Deadline Hollywood added that apart from “Alien: Paradise Lost” opposite Michael Fassbender, the actress could also be seen with the actor in “The Snowman.” The movie revolves around detective Harry Hole of the Oslo police department who investigates the murder of a woman whose scarf is found wrapped around a snowman.
Turns out that there is a disturbing pattern of married women going missing on the day of the first snow that the detective discovers. Script of “The Snowman” is by Matthew Carnahan, and Martin Scorsese will be serving as the executive producer.
According to the media outlet, an official deal hasn’t been signed yet, but the deal is expected to close soon so as to start filming “The Snowman” in January. Rebecca Ferguson would surely prove to be a valuable addition to both the projects.
