The world knows about James Dean and especially the troubled teenagers of America in the 1950s, when Dean starred as a rebellious and estranged kid in “Rebel without a cause”. With his charming looks and dark personality, he became a popular actor and his infamy was celebrated all over. The fact is that it took a long while for even Dean to become a star and he was unknown for a very long time.
Anton Corbijn is now making a movie on James Dean titled as “Life” and it will demonstrate Dean’s initial days. The role of Dean is played by Dane DeHaan, who looks startlingly similar to the actor on whom this movie is based. During the initial days of James Dean striving to become an actor, Life magazine’s photographer Dennis Stock noticed his potential and took several pictures to document a photo-essay on him. This helped him incredibly and Dennis said that he saw “an awkwardness, something very pure” in Dean, according to MTV.com.
This is extremely interesting because Robert Pattinson, who plays the role of Dennis Stock is pretty much the same as James Dean in real life. He maintains a very low profile and has a love-hate relationship with media. Even after becoming famous amongst young girls after being casted as Cedric Diggory in Harry Potter and Edward Cullen in the “Twilight Saga”, he chooses to let his life be clandestine.
According to Celebrity Auction, Dennis and Dean shared a special friendship and this will be featured in the much-awaited movie based on his life. The photo-essay implemented by Dennis Stock was probably one of the most remarkable things to happen to Dean’s career.
‘Life’s will probably release in September 26 and the premiere will take place in the United Kingdom. The release in the United States of America is still undecided, but Pattinson’s fans will definitely hasten the release.
