She is regarded as the most beautiful woman in the world by many and seems to be back with a bang. Aishwarya Rai Bachchan or “Ash” as she is fondly called, is touted to make a strong comeback through “Jazbaa”. Here is the movie review for all her fans.
“Jazbaa” is being touted as Aishwarya’s comeback vehicle and she has really got a meaty role in it for justifying it. Aishwarya Rai Bachchan gets an age-appropriate and dream role as Anuradha Varma, who is a highly successful lawyer. Anuradha is also a single mother to Sanaya.
Anuradha is not guilty when she fights cases for criminals, provided they can afford her fees. However the turning point in the movie when she is compelled to defend the case of a rapist as a ransom for releasing her daughter who had been kidnapped.
Yohan (Played by Irrfan Khan), a tainted cop is her secret admirer and best friend who slowly becomes Anuradha’s ally in her battle to get her daughter free. The two characters in the movie are as different as chalk and cheese. While Anuradha is highly ambitious and hyper active, Yohan is melancholic and yet cool headed.
The best thing about this movie is the two protagonists seem to be real characters made of flesh and blood with grey shades and have their own justifications and issues.
Sanjay Gupta, the director of this action packed movie has already won half his battle as the story of the film is inspired by “Seven Days”, a blockbuster Korean movie.
The story has some real intense moments as you follow Anuradha’s (Aishwarya) quest of getting the rapist out of prison but it is Irrfan’s excellent acting that is bound to capture your imagination as well as heart.
Can Anuradha free her daughter? Will she defend the rapist and win the case? How does she team up with Yohan to fight the bad men in the movie and get her daughter out? If you want your answers, then you must view this action packed thriller for sure.
