However, based on all of this, fans and viewers of this phenomenal new series are now wondering how this will impact the show’s future, and as to what will happen next. Who, in the end are fsociety’s allies, and in the end, one has to wonder if everything that has been given to the viewers is real. WARNING: This article contains spoilers regarding “Mr. Robot” Season 1 Episode 8 “eps1.7_wh1ter0se.m4v” and Season 1 Episode 9 “eps1.8_m1rr0r1ng.qt”. Read on only to learn more about what happened, and as to what will happen next.

In the last episode, “Mr. Robot” decided that it was the best time to reveal certain truths regarding several major players in the series. The result was that it provided many shocking answers, and churned out another batch of questions that if left unanswered in the first season, will probably be answered in the second season.

First off, Tyrell Wellick (Martin Wallstrom), still reeling from murdering Sharon Knowles (Michele Hicks), got an interesting visit from Allsafe’s Gideon Goddard (Michel Gil). He informed him that they were trying to keep Evil Corp safe while masking the fact that Allsafe was under attack.

Afterwards, he began hacking into the server that was mentioned. After realizing how everything conencted to Elliot, which he mentioned to his wife that night,  met up with Mr. Robot (Christian Slater), and talked as if they were, at best, allies with a mutual enemy. Later, as Tyrell panicked when the police came to question him regarding Sharon’s murder, his wife induced her labor.

Meanwhile, Elliot Alderson (Rami Malek) after discovering and realizing that everything that had happened to Ollie Parker (Ben Rappaport) and childhood best friend Angela Moss (Portia Doubleday)was a set up for Elliot to meet White Rose (BD Wong). They met the enigmatic Dark Army leader who gave him a deadline to remove the “honeypot trap” that the suspicious Goddard had set up to trap fsociety.

Thanks to Darlene (Carly Chaiken), he managed to get onto Goddard’s phone, and managed to have the honeypot trap removed.

Afterwards, outside the Mr. Robot headquarters, where Elliot and Darlene celebrated. There, Elliot tried to kiss Darlene after she told him that she loved him and was proud of him.

After pushing him away, she realized that he had forgotten who she was, and pressured Elliot to remember who exactly she was. Elliot, much to his horror, remembered then that Darlene was his sister, which made the opening scene, in which Darlene had attended a ballet class with Angela, and in which the two talked about Elliot like they had known each other for a long time, made sense.

Reeling from this, Elliot hacked himself, after berating himself for stopping his medication and discovered a blank disc with pictures which revealed that Mr. Robot was his father.

The episode ended with Mr. Robot knocking on his door, saying that they should talk.

However, it seems that more answers are in store in the next episode, “eps1.8_m1rr0r1ng.qt”, based on the promotional video that was posted on Spoiler TV.

Elliot, after realizing that the person in front of him, Mr. Robot, is “real”, lashed out and demanded to know the truth. Mr. Robot, after telling him that they had to focus first on their plans, decided to give Elliot some closure, and told him to go with him to get the answers he needed.

Meanwhile, both Angela and Darlene, are beginning to worry about Elliot more and more, especially as Elliot refused to talk to either of them. However, at a certain point, Elliot is shown embracing Angela by some railroad tracks.

Elsewhere, Tyrell watched over his newborn child, and was seen being confronted or comforted by Evil Corp’s president.

Now, with Elliot’s proclamation that Mr. Robot is indeed real, many are now wondering if this is true or not, given that Elliot is the most sane person in the room. And given the fact that the show, according to USA Today’s For the Win, seems like a wonderful blender of reality bending films such as “The Matrix” and “Fight Club”, one has to wonder who Mr. Robot truly is, and if he is indeed, Elliot’s supposedly dead father.

Who do you think Mr. Robot is? Is he Elliot’s father or is he Elliot himself? How do you think Tyrell is connected to fsociety? What did you think if this episode? Will you keep watching until season 2? Let us know what your theories are in the comments below!

And that was all for the recap of “Mr. Robot” Season 1 Episode 8 “eps1.7_wh1ter0se.m4v” and spoilers for Season 1 Episode 9 “eps1.8_m1rr0r1ng.qt”. For more news, updates, recaps and spoilers on “Mr. Robot” and other television shows, keep on following Movie News Guide (MNG).
