“Scream,” one of the successful suspense thriller movie franchises, will be adapted into a TV series by MTV. It was announced that the series has found its director and cast members. Read on to learn more about the details on MTV’s “Scream.”
According to We Got This Covered, the “Scream” TV adaptation has finally gotten itself a director and group of cast members. It is the latest development after it was greenlighted by the network in 2013.
Director Jamie Travis (“Faking It“) will oversee the adaptation starring a group of young cast. It will star Willa Fitzgerald (“Royal Pains“), Amy Forsyth (“Reign“), John Karna (“The Neighbors”), Carlson Young (“Key and Peele”) and Amadeus Serafini.
Bob Weinstein, the co-chairman of The Weinstein Company and Dimension Films, expressed his enthusiasm on working on one of the ” largest and most-treasured franchises at Dimension.
“We are thrilled to embark on the next chapter and join forces with a network that we love. I am so pleased to be working with Susanne Daniels to bring this ground-breaking franchise to MTV and continue its history,” Weinstein said in a statement posted on the We Got This Covered article.
Willa Fitzgerald will play the role of Emma Duval. Emma was considered to be a classic beauty who becomes very popular. Amy Forsyth will play the role of Audrey Jensen, Emma’s best friend. She is the daughter of a pastor. John Karna will play Noah Foster, a computer genius and one of Audrey’s best friend. Carlson Young will be Brooke Maddox, one of the popular students who’s bubbly and hot. Last but not the least, Amadeus Sarafini who will play Kieran Wilcox, a mysterious kid.
