After nail biting drama for three continuous seasons, “House of Cards” returns for the fourth time. The award winning series has slowly proved its doubters wrong by winning hearts for its high political drama genre.
At the end of the third season, it was Frank Underwood who sat on power with his clever little techniques and persuasion. The series gained its reputation much to the courtesy of Kevin Spacey and Robin Wright. However, season four sounds a completely different ball game with newcomer Neve Campbell promises to stun the audience.
According to Screenrant, Netflix aired the latest trailer which comprised a typical Presidential election promotional campaign where families of military personnel greeting, multicultural children galloping through the field with their flags, fighter planes elevating and at the end of 30 second, Spacey gives a cynical smile as he says “America, I’m only getting started.” This could be worrying sign for Underwood as he tries to retain the chair for second term.
Underwood, at the end of third season, had tough time in his marriage as that could dampen his chances for second term.
Frank Underwood has also launched a website by the name FU2016 where all the updates regarding him, his slogan and other promotional items are there. While Underwood remains under constant pressure, what’s left to be seen is whether newcomer Campbell adds on to his woes or is his final card.
Speculation rising among fans about possible extension to the series and in addition to that lies some unanswered question which may carry the series forward. Talking about unanswered question, mystery remain over Doug Stamper’s strange attitude; fans are hoping season 4 might have the answers. The teaser was too little to give any more detail, however, it is certain that Season 4 will carry heart wrenching surprises.
