The sci-fi is an adaptation of novel “Allegiant,” the final book in the Divergent trilogy written by Veronica Roth. The upcoming sequel is said to be different from the novel. It is reportedly said that no box is mentioned in the novel, but the upcoming sequel will feature the mysteries around the box which will bring a major change. The box can be opened only by a Divergent like Shailene Woodley for example.
According to K pop Starz, author Veronica Roth thinks the character of Woodley must die at the end. On being asked, the 23-year-old responded that she liked the end and enjoyed the way it concluded. Roth gave a go ahead to the idea of mystery box that can be unlocked only by a 100% Divergent. Roth further mentioned that “Allegiant” is written as it was required to be told and the series felt incomplete without it.
“The Divergent Series: Allegiant” is directed by German director Robert Schwentke who has previously worked on popular movies like “Tattoo” and “Flightplan.” It will hit the big screen on March 18 next year, and the series will apparently come to an end with its concluding part “The Divergent Series: Ascendant” which is scheduled to come out in 2017. It is speculated that Tris played by Theo James will survive in the concluding part to live with Four.
