The “Castle” star Nathan Fillion, who is no stranger to the world of superheroes, wants to take on the role of superhero, Booster Gold. Read on for more details.
Fillion made his Marvel debut as a monstrous inmate during smash hit 2014 film “Guardians of the Galaxy.” He has taken up roles such as Captain Malcolm Reynolds in both “Firefly” and “Serenity,” and has even voiced the iconic superhero “Green Lantern” in several animated series for DC Comics. With the roles of inmate and green lantern voice, Fillion has been a part of both the DC and Marvel universe.
According to Comicbook.com the actor recently appeared at Wizard World Comic Con Chicago this weekend. A fan asked him which character he would pick to portray if he had to choose from either DC or Marvel universe.
“I think I could take a pretty good crack at Booster Gold.” Fillion said.
The actor thinks that his choice will fall under his niche. While evoking the character, Fillion revealed that he could handle the role of Gold as he was show off, vain and not that bright altogether.
Fillion also revealed that he has a couple of other alternative characters. He would definitely be willing to play if he doesn’t get his dream of playing Booster Gold, which would apparently include Ambush Bug. Fillion then proceeded to describe Ambush Bug and pointed out that in the role one would never get to see the character’s face. Fillion also indicated that it was time for a reboot of “Greatest American Hero.”
Meanwhile, Unreality TV has previously noted “Legends of Tomorrow” showrunner Phil Klemmer’s comments. He asserted that the character of Booster Gold is perhaps being groomed for something bigger though Rip Hunter, son of Gold will be introduced the series.
Well, it is interesting to find out Fillion interests in the type of characters he would like to portray, but there is no official statement of the actor taking up Booster Gold or Ambush Bug yet. Recently, Fillion worked in “Justice League: Throne of Atlantis” where he took up the role of the superhero and voiced for Green Lantern once again. Though the actor is already a part of the comic book worlds, this new might open doors for more superheroes works in nearer future.
