In the NBA, Jeremy Lin is known to be the nicest guy since it’s not in his nature to trash talk or be rude to anyone. One can hardly imagine him being involved in a verbal duel or act in an unruly way, but as they say, everything has a limit. In Jeremy’s case, it was his patience that gave up and he felt the necessity to respond to a comment that was a bit rude.
According to Yibada, shaming people is not in Jeremy’s nature but when he read a mean comment on his tweet about Ronda Rousey, he had to respond to it, but in a way that wouldn’t be too rude. According to reports, Jeremy posted a simple tweet about how afraid he is of professional MMA fighter Ronda Rousey since she defeated opponent Bethe Correia in mere 34 seconds. Perhaps this incident reminded the NBA player of something because he also took the opportunity to remind everyone of his wonderful tenure with Houston Rockets and how valuable he was to them during his time. As expected, on his simple unrelated tweet, he received lots of mean comments.
However one such comment kind of triggered the need for a response by the player. This mean comment questioned his ability to take care of the ball for Houston Rockets when he was playing against the Portland Trail blazers last year. Despite the fact that he made some mistakes during the game, he also scored most of his points in three overtime periods. It is being said that ESPN’s Skip Bayless even thought that in some moments, Jeremy was the best player in the team. However, the series is best remembered when Damian Lillard made a mark in the play offs.
Jeremy too in his response to the mean comment stated that he was not scared of scoring half of the team’s points in the series. Ultimately its all a part of the game that everyone loves and one should always try to focus on whatever’s good and let negativity be left behind.
