Alfred Horford is rumored to be parted ways with his agent Billy Duffy of BDA Sports and had switched back to Wasserman Media Group. Read on!
According to Christian today, Horford is looking forward for an agent, with whom he is comfortable with and who gets him proper deal. The Atlanta Hawks center-power forward dumped Wasserman media Group in the past, when Arn Tellem left the team to take an executive position with Detroit Pistons. Billy Duffy was the agent of Puerto Rican at that time.
Horford made it clear through The Atlanta Journal Constitution, that he was more comfortable with the Wasserman Group as compared to Billy Duffy.
“It’s just a personal decision,” Horford told The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, as reported by Christian Today. “I just felt more comfortable being with Wasserman.”
Horford is receiving a pay of $12 million per year from Atlanta Hawks, and they can offer only a minimal raise on his current salary this season. He can either choose to remain with Atlanta Hawks or leave for another team of the National Basketball Association (NBA) but, he need to wait until his contract ends and becomes an unrestricted free agent.
From 2007, when Alfred Joel Horford first started playing, he was with Hawks. He was selected third overall by Hawks after Greg Oden and Kevin Durant. He played quite good for the Hawks in the first season, scoring 77 out of 82 games with an average of 10.1 points and 9.7 rebounds. He made a career high four three pointers on November 11, 2015 for the first time with New Orleans Pelicans, with a score of 26 points. So far, the 30 year old Hoxford, has performed much similar to that of last year this season, with an average of 15.2 points and 7.1 rebounds in just 31.4 minutes per game.
But seems like, this season he might opt out as Hawks has been struggling little bit for quite a long time. According to Hoops Rumors, they haven’t been as spectacular as that of last year, this season and tied only for eighth place in the much anticipated Eastern Conference with a record of 15-12. Stay tuned for more updates.
