DeMarcus Cousins may be the best big man to trade but the Celtics still don’t want him. The Celts think that he is a coach killer. Read On!
DeMarcus Cousins may be willing to get out of Sacramento Kings, but other teams are not willing to trade for him. What exactly is the problem? For one, DeMarcus Cousins has an attitude problem. It is easy to see that even though his talent is massive, his attitude is still bigger, and that makes him a bad egg.
Boston Celtics were specifically being asked why they wouldn’t want a man of Cousins’s talents on their roster. The reason is simple enough to see. Cousins will never make a good franchise player. He will most likely be a good free agent option in the future. Boston is pretty much never going to be the place for freeagents. They want franchise players and Cousins is not ever going to be a franchise player.
Jeff Goodman from ESPN recently analyzed the issue for the Celtics Beat Podcast. “I wouldn’t take DeMarcus Cousins in Boston,” Goodman declared in the podcast. “I’m not the biggest fan. I don’t think he’s the right fit for Brad Stevens.”
Cousins has been known to be a certified coach killer. He is often like a powerful tide that leaves destruction in its wake. Brad Stevens is likely going to be the first casualty if DeMarcus Cousins is pulled up on board. Cousins has a problem with authority. And Stevens is not going to like it.
DeMarcus Cousins is a powerhouse of talent; he is the big player that any team will be glad to pick up, but, man, he does have a big attitude. And that is going to suck for everybody in his team.
