With the NBA preseason making its way in full swing, it is not surprising that all the teams are anxious about making the right changes. Here comes the latest trade rumor about Markieff Morris and Kevin Martin.
According to Associated Press, Phoenix Suns power forward player Markieff Morris expressed his interest to be in the team. However, when his twin brother Marcus Morris was traded to Detroit Pistons in the month of July, he revealed to Philly.com that he was not going to a part of the Suns team.
He again declared that he wanted to be in the Suns as no trade developed, based on a report from ESPn. The player was also fined $10,000 by the NBA for making a “public statement detrimental to the NBA.”
According to Bleacher Report, the Morris brothers have been happy playing together for the same team. Now, the Detroit Pistons is interested in considering another Morris brother – Markieff. It seems that the team is monitoring Markieff’s situation in the Suns.
Jeff Bower, the current General Manager of the Detroit Pistons, thinks about considering the 26-year-old Markieff. However, it is not yet confirmed.
Markieff proved to be a versatile power forward player for the Phoenix Suns. However, after Marcus was traded to the Detroit Pistons, he has been a headache for the Suns. It seems that it is due to his desire to play together with his twin brother.
Indeed, a reunion of the Morris brothers would be beneficial for the team. In case, the Pistons include Markieff, the Morris brothers would certainly help the team greatly.
It is possible that the guard player Kevin Martin of the Minnesota Timberwolves could be traded at some point, reported the source. However, he has the potential to become someone special in the team. Hence, Kevin Martin trade is not expected in the first few months of the season.
Let us wait to see if Markieff Morris reunite with his brother, and if Kevin Martin trade happens or not?
