The latest NBA trade rumors pointed out that the Los Angeles Lakers are willing to acquire small forward Shabazz Muhammad of Minnesota Timberwolves. Will the LA Lakers be successful in trading for the small forward?
Based on a report from Sports Blog, the Los Angeles Lakers are looking forward to improving their small forward position, and the team’s head coach Byron Scott has decided to start the 2015-16 NBA season successfully by making some useful changes.
Julius Randle and D’Angelo Russell has been a great support to the LA Lakers by showing their incredible performances. In spite of that, Scott made an additional starting lineup change to improve the team’s performances by acquiring Larry Nance Jr. and Lou Williams before facing the Toronto Raptors.
However, the Lakers Brooklyn fell to the Raptors. Hence, the Lakers are concentrating in improving their small forward position now, especially because Kobe Bryant and Metta World Peace are in the final stages of their NBA career, based on the latest rumors.
It seems that the LA Lakers are now interested in trading for Muhammad, small forward of the Timberwolves. According to Darren Wolfson of KSTP TV, the Lakers, as well as Brooklyn Nets, are interested with Muhammad.
Based on Real GM, the Timberwolves have started receiving inquiries about Muhammad. However, it seems that the team is not interested in dealing with the player.
While YibadaI reported that the Timberwolves might not keep Muhammad for long-term, and that there is more possibility that the small forward could be traded.
