One of the most recent NBA trade rumors connecting the Los Angeles Lakers is about one of their summer acquisition. It seems that the team’s Lou Williams could head back to Atlanta Hawks.
According to SB Nation, the best trade chips of the Los Angeles Lakers include their point guard Lou Williams. Based on the source, the Lakers might send Williams back to the Atlanta Hawks.
As per the report from YIBADA, Williams was one of the summer acquisition of the LA Lakers. The Lakers actually acquired Williams for a three-year $21 million contract.
Even though Williams has made only “39.1 percent of his field goal attempts” and an average score of 13.3 points for the Lakers, he seems to be a feasible “option for the playbook of Mike Budenholzer,” and a “decent ball-handler off the bench.”
The source added that the Hawks could give up one of their backup power forward or center player in exchange for Williams as they are looking forward to solve their frontcourt logjam with the point guard.
However, it seems that the Lakers might not be interested in acquiring more power forward or center as the positions are already full in the team. According to Real GM trade checker, the Hawks’ deal with the Lakers for Williams could happen successfully if the Hawks are willing to have Mike Scott by giving up give up Thabo Sefolosha. The source also added that the Lakers might also consider the deal for “some future draft picks essential.”
Will the Los Angeles Lakers send Lou Williams back to the Atlanta Hawks? If so, who could be the possible asset that they could get in exchange? Let us see what happens if the deal happens.
