The Los Angeles Lakers’ superstar Kobe Bryant has been the subject of the recent NBA trade rumors. It seems that the player could be traded in midseason. Read on to know further details.
According to a report from Classicalite, the Los Angeles Lakers could trade Kobe Bryant “before the NBA trade deadline.” It seems that the Lakers’ superstar has been struggling with the team, which might most probably affect his future with the team.
Moreover, the source also added that Bryant is playing his final NBA season. Indeed, the players wish to compete “for a championship” might force him to allow the Lakers to trade him to challenging teams such as Cleveland Cavaliers, San Antonio Spurs, and Golden State Warriors.
However, Bryant trade is not that easy. It is impossible for the Lakers to trade the superstar without his permission as he has signed a no-trade clause contract with the team, reported YIBADA.
As per ESPN, Bryant has always wished to be “a Laker for life.” Hence, it is quite impossible that the player would prefer to switch teams. Moreover, the five-time NBA Champion might not decide to change his preferred team during the last stage of his NBA career, just to “win another championship.” The source further added that the player would have done that before many years, in case he is intended to change his team.
We already reported that the Lakers suffered a major issue during Bryant’s absence in the team due to his shoulder injury & surgery. The player returned to the team in October after recovery.
