Is Markieff Morris of Phoenix Suns still talked about in the NBA trade rumors? It seems that the Chicago Bulls and the Boston Celtics could be the next possible destinations for the power forward.
According to Yibada, Markieff Morris was not happy as revealed by his twin brother Marcus Morris, in the game against Detroit Pistons in which the twins played against each other since they were united with the Suns.
Basketball Insiders reported that the Suns have tried to rule out the NBA trade rumors related to Markieff. However, it seems that the power forward could still be someone who could be traded. Indeed, both the Suns, as well as Markieff, are not happy with each other. Chances are that Markieff could be traded before the deadline. If he plays well, he could get a good trade value.
Even during last summer, Markieff has been in the trade rumors. Speculations ignited that the power forward could be traded to the Bulls in exchange for Taj Gibson. In fact, this trade option was one of the most reasonable ones. Markieff could go well with Fred Hoiberg, the coach of the Bulls. Another trade speculation related to Markieff was that he could be traded to Celtics in exchange for Jared Sullinger.
According to Wikipedia entry, Markieff signed a multi-year contract extension with the Suns in September 2014. He scored 30 points in the 118-114 victory over the Boston Celtics, and 35 points in a 107-100 win over the Cleveland Cavaliers. He and his twin brother both had double-doubles for the first time in the same game against the Dallas Mavericks. In Sept. 2015, Markieff was “fined $10,000 for conduct detrimental to the league by publicly demanding a trade.”
