It is not the first time that Nick Young, the shooting guard of the Los Angeles Lakers, has been involved in trade rumors during this NBA offseason. The most recent NBA trade rumors about Young are that the shooting guard could be traded along with Ryan Kelly to the Memphis Grizzlies in exchange for Zach Randolph. Read on for more details.
According to Sports Blog, the LA Lakers could trade Young in order to get enough cap space and make some serious moves in future.
Even though the Memphis Grizzlies have acquired veteran point guard Mario Chalmers, they are still trying to add a “three-point shooter” & skilled offensive guard before the 2015-2016 NBA season.
Reports suggested that the Grizzlies would be very much interested in getting Young as the shooting guard has impressive NBA statistics. Young has an average of 11.3 points per game in the “first seven games of the season,” even though he played for 19.3 minutes in each game. Moreover, the player can handle both shooting guard and small forward positions.
Young would make an excellent player for the Grizzlies. Indeed, there is high possibility that he could become the key player to “take three-point shots during games.”
Will the Grizzlies be able to make a successful deal if the Lakers trade Young? Since the Grizzlies have already acquired Chalmers in exchange for Beno Udrih, the possible player that they could give in exchange for Young would be their power forward Zach Randolph, reported ESPN.
However, it is impossible for a straight exchange between Randolph and Young, based on a report from YIBADA. It seems that the Lakers would have to add another player along with Young in order to make a deal for Randolph with the Grizzlies.
According to Real GM, the Grizzlies would make a successful trade with the Lakers if they are ready to give their power forward Ryan Kelly along with Young.
Is Nick Young trade possible? Will the Los Angeles Lakers be ready to give away both Young and Ryan Kelly to the Memphis Grizzlies in exchange for Zach Randolph? Let us wait and see!
