Yes, disappointments have been there but then who can possibly overlook the fate of the Washington Wizards in the 2015-16 season?
But though the many were convinced that the team had it in them to become one of the top contenders, it struggled frantically- partially due to lack of efforts, partially because it incorporated new pieces, and partially because many of the players succumbed to injuries while on the fields.
Randy Wittman, who is the head coach of the Washington Wizards stated that it is definitely not easy for the team playing 82 games and one is bound to go through tough times.
But the head coach also suggested that his team would continue fighting, irrespective of the injuries, bad play or combating its tough opponents, who have been playing remarkable basketball in this year. A team like Washington wizards has to simply stay with it. It cannot give up just because things look a little tough.
It would be appropriate to use the word “tough” to describe rookie Kelly Oubre and John Wall, In fact, he duo together could have saved the season for this team.
With Washington Wizards down to three games below .500 just some weeks back, things appeared pretty bleak for them. But miracles do happen as they say and it happened for the Wizards when Coach Wittman included Kelly Oubre right into the team’s starting lineup. The results were for everyone to see. The team witnessed a high-point in the season as it enjoyed 4 straight wins. However, looks like there are a lot of focused works that need to be done.
Oubre said recently that no one is satisfied in the locker room. He says, everyone in the team is aware of his potential on paper. It is for the players to give their best shots in the field. All his team members want that the Wizards should become the champion. Even Oubre is simply hungry for being one.
According to Basketball Insiders, Oubre impressed many with his versatility and length during NBA’s predraft process. His confidence was pretty inspiring to the others. Here is a player who is gifted with all the mental requisites like confidence, patience, intelligence and his public image. All these are excellent qualities to be successful in the NBA.
The initial few months of the current season in NBA indicates that things may be tough this year. But on a brighter side, there is still some time left for the Washington Wizards to make a comeback.
