NBC seems to be putting their focus on event series such as “Rosemary’s Baby” and  “The Sound of Music: Live!,” which debuted on television last winter and now, they’re cooking up a new event series that will definitely make music lovers very happy. The network’s strategy has gained a lot of positive reviews from the previous event series that they have aired and there is really no wonder why they are giving it another shot this time. In fact, NBC is reportedly cooking up a new event series on The Beatles!

The network is developing the legendary fab four of the music industry, “The Beatles” event series. It will be an eight-part event series that will be written by Michael Hirst who was the creator and executive producer of “The Tudors.” This event series will be executive produced by Ben Silverman and Teri Weinberg.

“The Beatles” event series will show us the lives of the four greatest musicians who have ever lived, John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison and Ringo Starr. As of the moment, these are the only details that have been disclosed to the media but we are pretty sure that more details will be revealed in the coming months.

Based on Hirst’s passion for historical storytelling, which he did remarkably well with “The Tudors,” we can guarantee that we might see how the four musicians started and how they have reached fame. We are assuming that Hirst will take us back from the very start, which will be very interesting.

There have been a number of attempts to air the story of the Liverpool band into a television series and it looks like we are now going to see it. The show might still be in its early stages and a lot of things could still happen and change but we are definitely keeping our fingers crossed on this one!

Now what we know that NBC is cooking up a new event series on The Beatles, what do you think about it? Are you excited for this? Do you think it will be successful?
