NBC’s New Series ‘Aquarius’ Premiere Scoop: The Infamous Serial Killer
The current logo for the National Broadcasting Company (NBC), an American commercial broadcasting television network headquartered in New York City’s Rockefeller Center, which was formed as a radio network by the Radio Corporation of America in 1926. A simplification of an earlier and more complicated logo originally created for color broadcasts, this logo was created by Steff Geissbuhler of Chermayeff & Geismar to commemorate the 60th anniversary of the network in 1986, and since then, has become one of the most recognizable logos in the world.

NBC has announced its premiere date for the new crime series “Aquarius.” Read on to learn more about it.

According to TVRage, “Aquarius” is set to premiere on Sunday, March 1, 2015. The show’s setting is on 1967. It was known as the “eon of the Vietnam War, drug experimentation and free love.”

Sergeant Sam Hodiak will be played by David Duchovny from “The X-Files” and “Californication.” He leads the investigation when the young daughter of a prominent lawyer disappeared. The girl’s mother was the one who called for his help. The hippies in question are rebellious and not cooperating with the authorities. Now, Sgt. Hodiak needs to partner with unruly undercover policeman Brian Shafe, played by Grey Damon, for back-up.

The duo gradually realizes that the lost teenager eloped with a “hairy” guitarist. As the investigation goes on, they discover a cult leader who seeks defenseless women and invites them for his cause. The sergeant eventually witnesses a “drug-infused orgy” at Hollywood Hills. The cops’ journey goes through the darker side of Cultural Revolution, sex, drugs and murder. The man, whom they are hunting, will become one of the most infamous killers in history named Charles Manson.

Manson was a distressed man who became desperate to be a famous musician in the ’60s until he lost sanity. The series will present the epic chase between Manson and the cops, which will progress for several seasons until reaching the climax of the controversial Tate-LaBianca murder spree.

According to Deadline, Duchovny’s character has the poker face of Hank Moody from “Californication” and the ballsy attitude of “The X-Files” Fox Mulder.

Other casts starring in “Aquarius” are Emma Dumont, Claire Holt and Gethin Anthony. It will be executively produced by writer and creator John NcNamara from “In Plain Sight,” Marty Adelstein from “Prison Break,” Melanie Greene, Becky Clements, writers Alexandra Cunningham and Sera Gamble, director Jonas Pate, line producer Vahan Moosekian and main actor Duchovny. The series is produced by Marty Adelstein Productions and Tomorrow ITV Studios LLC.
