Usually, crossovers within a CBS television franchise allow two or three characters to interact with the other characters from a different show. However, this coming January, it seems as if the showrunners and executive producers of “NCIS” and “NCIS: New Orleans” have pulled out all the stops as both teams will be interacting with each other in two hour event crossover. WARNING: This article will contain spoilers for the upcoming crossover event between “NCIS” and “NCIS: New Orleans” this coming January 5, 2016.
Just recently, the official Twitter account of “NCIS” released the teaser trailer for the next year’s very first episode, which greatly excited fans of the franchise.
This is because “NCIS’s” first episode of 2016 will be a crossover event that will put both the “NCIS” team and the “NCIS: New Orleans” team in the spotlight. This will be a crossover event that will go down in the franchise’s history.
According to the trailer that was posted on “NCIS’” official Twitter account, NCIS Special Agent Anthony “Tony” DiNozzo, Jr. (Michael Weatherly), will be putting on handcuffs on Forensic Specialist Abby Sciuto’s (Pauley Perrette) younger brother, Luca Sciuto (Tyler Ritter).

Based on a report from TV Line, this scene will be occurring in the first part of the crossover, in the “NCIS” episode entitled “Sister City-Part 1”.
The report added that Luca, a chef for a private plane, will become the main suspect of the Washington DC based team, after an entire plane full of people were poisoned to death.
In the second part, an “NCIS: New Orleans” episode entitled “Sister City-Part 2”, NCIS Special Agent Eleanor “Ellie” Bishop (Emily Wickersham) will be teaming up with the New Orleans team, while NCIS Forensic Sebastian Lund (Rob Kerkovich) will team up with Abby in Washington DC.
According to the report on TV Line, things will get a little bit messy after it is discovered that Luca had been involved with a Russian assassin hiding out in New Orleans.
Things will also get difficult for Abby as well, as it is shown that she will have to try her best to get her brother to talk about the Russian assassin.
The trailer also showed that everyone in both teams will be involved, including NCIS Special Agents Christopher La Salle (Lucas Black), Meredith “Merri” Brody (Zoe McLellan), Dwayne “King” Pride (Scott Bakula), Leroy Jethro Gibbs (Mark Harmon), Timothy “Tim” McGee (Sean Murray), NCIS Agent Sonja Percy (Shalita Grant), Medical Examiner’s Assistant Jimmy Palmer (Brian Dietzen) and Dr. Donald “Ducky” Mallard (David McCallum).
